Writing Wedding Vows

When I got married almost ten years ago, I knew whatever time I spent writing wedding vows would be well worth the investment. This was well before I was a writer, but I still knew the importance of saying what was in my heart rather than reading from a canned script. I had no desire to do a fortune cookie speech; I wanted to write wedding vows.

Marriage might be an old and honored institution, but that didn’t mean my wedding vows needed to sound antique. I had the option to read tired wedding vows from a standard script, but it was not a difficult decision to instead write wedding vows, brimming with words that had never before been given breath.

There is only one me, and I wanted to write wedding vows that would truly articulate the type of partnership I expected for Cindy and I to have. I did not wish to repeat the details of another couple’s design. I was a Long Beach floral designer for a dozen years before becoming a ghostwriter, and have heard plenty of traditional vows. They sound pleasant enough, but are obviously tired, distant, and even slightly irrelevant.

My future wife deserved more than a stagnant pledge and I knew that taking the time to write my own wedding vows would make a lifetime of difference.

The objective of well written wedding vows is to clearly convey the deep affection you hold for your significant other in the most concise and articulate way possible. You want to tell your partner why you love them, while revealing your promises for the relationship that you expect to honor for the rest of your days.

It is impossible to articulate these things with passion by filling in the blanks of a pre-fab wedding vow version of Mad Libs. Your wedding vows should be custom, written for a singular couple, distinct from any other. They should sing in perfect harmony, in tune to those things you love most about your one true love, not an old forgotten melody from a hundred years before.

We all have feelings inside us, even if we have difficulty expressing them. That’s where a professional writer comes into play. If you can’t easily speak from your heart, I can do it for you. With just a few of your answers to some rather simple questions, I can take the music in your heart and compose something remarkable.

I write wedding vows beautiful enough to hang on the wall and remember forever. I will write beautiful prose, perfectly placed between a beginning and end that is guaranteed to fill your wedding aisles with weeping. You are a custom couple, you deserve to exchange a custom promise.
