Passive Income

Real artists don’t starve.

We’re in the midst of a writer’s renaissance.

The average modern writer has more raw potential to earn passive profit and secure their creative freedom than at any time in history. Those writers who learn the simple secret to extraordinary success will be able to establish and groom the skill set needed to write whatever future they want.

Unfortunately, this is where many writers go so terribly wrong.

Sure, it’s possible to love the freelance life, and maybe you don’t care if you’re stuck running in circles with client work for days and weeks that fade to months and years; never establishing a brand for yourself, or an audience of fans who adore you and your work, always eager to buy whatever you write.

But I doubt it.

You’re probably like most writers. You long to write the kind of copy that feels like fun rather than work. Maybe for you that means genre fiction or children’s books, perhaps it’s sales letters or information products, maybe blogging. For me, it’s fiction. Nothing makes me happier than pumping out pages to keep a reader’s pulse pounding.

Either way, I know that making amazing money as a writer means building steady streams of passive income.

Yet, money can never buy happiness.

Truly successful writers make a great living, of course, but they are also happy with their creative freedom, and are able to create an amazing income by writing what they would have happily written for free.

Learn to take what you know and love and turn it into a written asset, and you can write yourself a remarkable future.

You can only trade time for money for so long. Passive assets are the one thing that will free you from the hamster wheel. Long-term, it’s the most important thing you can do as a writer.

You don’t have to be poor.

You don’t have to struggle.

Passive income changes everything.

Sure, you can write because you love it, but you deserve to make an amazing living.
If you think you have nothing offer to offer, you’re wrong. You’re a writer. You have plenty to teach and many stories to tell. You have experience or imagination inside you that others are willing to pay for.

Our series on passive income will show you how to use your way with words to create small paydays that will fund the rest of your writing dreams, and ultimately, your retirement.

We’ll be adding posts to this section as they are written.

Building streams of passive income is my favorite part of the business side of being a writer, by far. I’ve built several this year and will be using this page to update readers on their performance, while showing you effective ways to build and manage your own.
